Ontology-Driven Platform for Swiss Public Services Access

This thesis addresses the problem of access to public services information that are scattered over the websites of different Swiss administrative authorities. Our approach uses Linked Data technologies in order to build a distributed data platform and a centralized search portal for public services. The project describes and implements a data platform that consists of an ontology, which aims to describe Swiss public services, a distributed publishing system for administrative authorities' websites and a centralized access point to the distributed dataset. On top of this platform, we built a prototype of a search portal, intended to illustrate the advantages of such a system.
